Ask AI. Answered from your own books.
A full-page assistant that answers from the business you're looking at — grounded in your own scoped data, and never able to reach across a boundary you didn't grant.
What's unpaid AR across the group this month?
$35,200 unpaid across 3 businesses.
Which open invoices are overdue by more than 30 days?
4 invoices, $12,860.00 total.
Grounded, scoped, explainable.
Ask AI is a way of reading your existing data out loud — not a second source of truth.
- Computed, not guessed — every number in an answer is computed in code from your ledger and records, and the model names what it found rather than inventing the figure.
- Scoped to the business you're viewing — Ask AI answers from the business currently in view, or the "All businesses" consolidated view, never from a business outside your access.
- Explainable by construction — answers come with the breakdown that produced them, a mini table or a by-business bar row, so you can see the source, not just the sentence.
What you can ask.
Every question resolves against one app's scoped data — the pill shows which.
“What's unpaid AR across the group this month?”
Books“Which deals have sat in negotiation for over 14 days?”
CRM“What's our SLA breach rate this week?”
Support“Which SKUs are below their reorder point?”
Commerce“Who's out on leave next week?”
People“How does this quarter’s P&L by class compare to budget?”
AnalyticsWhere AI stays out of the way.
Ask AI is deliberately narrow. It reads and explains; it does not decide, post, or cross a scope boundary on your behalf.
- The model names things — customers, invoices, deals — it never computes a total itself.
- Every figure is calculated in code from your own ledger and records, and formatted the same way as the rest of the app.
- Nothing posts to your books from a conversation — Ask AI drafts, a person reviews and posts.
- Answers never cross a business boundary you haven't granted, including in the consolidated view.
Ask AI can prepare a journal entry or an invoice draft from a conversation. It sits in your review queue like any other draft, until someone posts it.
Common questions.
Which model powers Ask AI?
Gemini. It reasons over data that your own code has already scoped and computed — it is never handed raw access to the database.
Can Ask AI see other businesses in my group?
No. It answers from the business you're currently viewing, or from the "All businesses" consolidated view when that's where you are and you have access to it.
Can it post journal entries or invoices on its own?
No. It can draft one for you to review, but posting is always a person's action — nothing reaches your ledger without someone approving it.
How long is my data retained by Ask AI?
That's configurable per account — ask us and we'll walk through the options for your setup.
